Showcase Celebrations~a space saving way to display students birthdays!

I LOVE having a display of student birthdays in my classroom! But what I don't like is the wall space it takes up! I decided this year to try something different...and that is where Showcase Celebrations was born!

I created a poster for each month that will fit inside an 8x10 frame.

Every month I will change out the poster and use an expo marker to write on the class who has a birthday that month and the date!

I was going to use Washi tape and decorate the frame, but I really like the white!

I can't wait to display this in my class without taking up space!

You can grab this at my TpT shop HERE.

I am also having a little sale today and tomorrow in my shop! Back to work for me tomorrow:(

Have a great week!

Happy Birthday!!! Oh wait, we can't have a cupcake:(

Having a cupcake at school has always been the way to celebrate a student's birthday! But not any more, not at my school! Our district has a NO food policy starting this year! So I need some fantastic bloggers to help me come up with fun ways to celebrate student birthdays without having food!

I have my birthday pencils with balloon toppers!

I also have the birthday cheer poster we will sing!

I just feel like I need something else! Maybe the birthday student can pick a game to play. I am lost! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Have a SUPER Saturday and see you tomorrow for my grand giveaway!

Monday Made it-freebies for you, giveaway, and a SALE!

First off...I am also at 400 followers!!! WOW!  Thank you all for making blogging fun and inspiring! I truly appreciate each and every one of you! To celebrate I have my Teacher's Notebook store 40% off this week ONLY! Sale ends Friday!

OK, I only have 2 more free Mondays before I have to report back to work...blah! I can't believe how fast this summer has gone! Today, I am linking up once again with Tara over at 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made it! I again have a few things you can use in the classroom!  And the good news is, they are FREEBIES for YOU! Please just leave a little bit of love in the comment box!

So here are my projects inspired by other fantastic bloggers!

1. Birthday Cheer
Amanda over at Teaching Maddness had this great post about birthdays. She found this super cute birthday cheer on pinterest and I knew I just had to steal borrow the idea! I plan on having kids sing this cheer instead of singing the traditional birthday song! I think they will love it!
Just click on the picture to get the freebie:)

2. Quick Check
How many times after a lesson do you wonder if the kids understood it? Angie over at Timeouts and Tootsie Rolls created this super cute stoplight system for checking for understanding!

So I had to create some fun circles to go with my color scheme. Here is what I came up with!

I really hope this works and the kids respond to it. Most of all, I hope it helps me with that super quick check to see if they got it, who almost got it, and who needs help! Just click on the first picture to get yourself a copy!

3. Add it up!
Do you love boggle! This great Math twist on Boggle was created by  Lisa over at Live, Laugh, and Love to Learn.
She has add it up, multiply it out, and take it away. I LOVE it! click her picture if you want to grab her files. So I made a smaller board so it would fit where I wanted it! I really like out it turned out!
Just click on my picture to get my file!

4. HALL poster
This is a super cute HALL poster I found on Pinterest

I wanted to make one, even though I do really like this one!

Click HERE to grab a copy:)

GIVEaWAY items!
You can WIN these items by guessing the question at the end correct!
5. Classroom Subject Headers
This is my own creation for Monday Made it:) I always have a place to write my "I can..." statements down. So I created some subject headers to go by each I can statement!

I also have writing and math. I have these headers for sale in my TPT and TN stores.

6. How to Eat Fried Worms Novel Unit
I have had such an overwhelming response to my BFG novel unit that I am in the process of making a How to Eat Fried Worms unit. I really wanted to do more novel units this summer, but didn't...oh well!

OK...so here is the question! The person or people who get it right will win the above two units!

What am I MOST scared of?
-and it is NOT spiders or heights!

Well, that's it for my Monday Made it! I hope you all have a great start to your week!

Don't forget about my SWEET ice cream giveaway that ends Wednesday! You can find it HERE:)

Happy Birthday! Come get your present:)

Happy Birthday America! I hope you are all having fun celebrating! It is a beautiful day here in NC...but I don't feel well to enjoy it:( I probably slept about 3 hours last night! I had a nasty headache! I am actually thinking about taking a nap here shortly!

So last night I completed one project! This is the container I will use to put all my mystery person circles in!
I bought the container yesterday from A.C Moore for $1.00! I painted it this sparkly purple and used my neon green sharpie paint pen to write the ? on it. I had some flowers left over from my Tadpole Tokens so I thought I would add those too! The mystery person circles fit right in! I love it:)

So my hubby came home from Sam's Club the other day and brought this nice huge box with him. It was holding all the grocerys. I really think I could use it for something...but what? I know, I know, it is a maxi pad box...but, it will be painted over or something! Any ideas?

Since it is the 4th of July, our nations birthday, I thought I would give everyone a gift:) I had the birthday balloons last year on pixi sticks and my kids loved it:)
So this year I wanted to make some new balloons!

If you would like a free copy, all you have to do is go HERE:) I hope you like them! Have a safe and fun 4th of July!
