Decide Now App~a Bright Ideas for your classroom

Today I am joining many other bloggers to bring you another awesome Bright Idea for your classroom!

Have you heard of the app called Decide Now?
It's a FREE app that you can use in SOOOOOO many ways! You plug in the choices you want, give it a name and presto! You have an instant spinner.

I use this app in a few ways!
I use it to call on students! They love seeing the wheel spin and finding out who gets to be picked!

I also use it for when a student levels up on the Super Improver wall, or when the whole class reaches a certain number on the Scoreboard!
Here is my prize wheel!

I would highly recommend this app to everyone!

  3. Great idea. I don't have an ipad in my class, so I started searching for another option and found this.

Very cool. I might even put a brain break spot or two on a wheel with the students' names. So, so many fun ways to use these! Thanks for the idea!

  6. The version that allows you to add students names is not in the free version BUT it's only $.99 for the full version.

    1. I wonder why you had to pay for the .99 cents one? I was able to add my names no problem to the free one.

  9. I just tried to upload the app and on the free version (lite) I don't see a way to customize it. Can you only customize a list in the regular version

  10. For those of you who have customized their own wheel, is there a limit on how many wedges you can add? I have classes of 40+ and I want to make sure I can get all of their names on there. TIA!

  11. The version that you could put the names is .99 , the other version has predefined templates..

  12. I love this app. I found it earlier this year and was using it as a reward for my 8th graders. I blogged about it too.

  17. Hello and thank you for sharing your ideas. I would like to know where to go to download the wheel, I don't see a link anywhere.

    Thank you

  18. Hi everyone! I am using this app in my classroom too! It helps me a lot. And I don't see the problem to pay 99 cent to be able to customize the wheels.
As far as I know they have an Android version too (though it looks a little bit different). It is free but again you have to pay to make your own wheels.

  19. This is wonderful, I will download it right now!!! I love using apps to be more efficient as a teacher. :) An app that I LOVE for grading assignments is called Grade Ez. You can quickly compute scores based on the number correct or number incorrect. Saves me so much time and it's so much better than the old school Ez Grader sliding scale! It's available for both Apple and Android devices:
    for Apple-

  22. Mouse sensitivity is the speed of a mouse pointer and how quickly it proceeds onto the screen. With increased sensitivity, the mouse moves quicker and requires less exertion to get across the screen. While on the other hand, with a low mouse sensitivity, a mouse moves relatively slower and needs more exertion to get across the screen. However, it offers better accuracy for users who are not much familiar with the mouse.
