Monday Made it turned into a give-a-way!

It's Monday! And you know what that means....
Time for Monday Made it with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics! This is something that I look forward to every week:) Thanks Tara! But...sorry to say, my husband is not happy with you...hehe! He is always asking me why I am heading to Michael's AGAIN??? I just can't help myself! Like others have said, I tell him, Tara made me do it! I have to link up and share my ideas! He just shakes his head!

SO...my idea has been floating around Pinterest for awhile now and I have always wanted to do it! How many of you have gone to the gas station and purchased a scratch off ticket? They are so much fun! I always remember as a kid wanting to scratch off my mom's tickets! I thought I was soooo cool getting to scratch them off! Well...now you can make your own scratch off tickets! HOW FUN!

So Clémence from Oh the lovely things has this amazing site on how to create your own scratch off tickets! She even has super cute FREE tickets you can print out!

I knew I had to make my own! And it was SOOO fun! hehe! Last school year I had tickets kids could earn by all sorts of different ways! On these tickets there were free prizes they could get (so it didn't cost me ANY money). They kids LOVED it. So my plan for this coming school year is to get rid of my treasure box and use my scratch off tickets!

I did some research and found a ton of free things kids could earn around the classroom. I made 40 different ones with about 35 different free things! Some included: sit in teachers chair for the day, eat lunch with the teacher, get a free pencil, no homework for the night....

Here are some pictures of my process:)

These are the tickets I made...I have a frog theme:)

Got all my materials ready: silver metallic acrylic paint, dish soap, contact paper, paint brush

Cut the contact paper into 3 by 4 inch squares
Placed each contact paper square over the words only

2 parts paint to 1 part dish soap. This is all I used for 40 tickets!

Then I painted each one, not going on the actual paper but only painting on the contact paper.

Let them dry...I did it overnight!

Cut them out...and I am DONE:) What is soooo cool about these, when the kids are done scratching them off, you can just repaint them to add back into the bucket!

So what do you think??? I added the tickets to my TPT and TN stores!

BUT WAIT...I am working on making more, in different themes! So far I have...
 An Owl theme:)

I am working on Pirate, Monster, and Hawaiian theme sets too!

I was considering making them a hard sale, doing all the work and mailing them out, but not sure how good that would sell. Making the tickets is taking work but the scratch off part was so super cheap and easy!

So here is my give-a-way part! If you really like these tickets, I will make a set for you, a theme of your choosing, and mail them out to you...for FREE:) YUP, I will do ALL the work and you just have to enter!  Rafflecopter was so easy to use, I am going to do it again! So enter below! The give-a-way only lasts until Thursday June 21st! So don't wait too long!

I am off to the dentist and then back to check out all the Monday Made it's! I need some new ideas for next week!

Thanks for stopping by:)

  28. These turned out AWESOME!! I made some during the school year at a pinterest party I had. Mine didn't turn out. I thought it was maybe because I used craft acrylic instead of the kind you use on model cars....but it looks like you used the craft pain too. I love how you jazzed them up too (mine were pretty boring). I'm pretty sure if you sold these as a download - people would still buy them and do the work! I know I would ;)

  53. I love your superhero idea but was wondering if I could have a superhero template with just MY SUPERHERO on it instead of parents? Unfortunately some of my parents are not great superheros and I think it would work better if the children choose mom or dad on their own. Students in our school suffer from abuse and drug use and deportation so would it be possible to edit one for me? Thanks Michelle
