Color Labels for Organization and maybe a new color theme????

A few weeks back I posted about how I organize my crayons, colored pencils, and markers!

It has been the BEST idea ever!

No more digging for colors

No more hearing, "I don't have a black" or "I can't find a green"

It sat nicely on my back counter in a place the kids could go all the time.

Now you have to set some rules with getting colors. I mean, who wants all 24 kids up at one time trying to get to the colors...right???

I would have the kids get TWO colors at a time. I would start by calling tables over, one at a time. By the time all the tables got their two colors they started slowly going back up, putting their two colors away and getting two more. It became a nice flow.

When I posted this idea, many people asked for my labels!

WELL...I have made some:)
This was the first thing I worked on this morning.

I made a few different kinds and added the ones I had previously!

And one set that is not complete yet. I emailed Krista Wallden from The Creative Chalkboard to see if she can make the Paint Chip pencils in a few other colors...they are just so cute!

I am ready to print out my set! Are you?
You can pick it up at my TpT or TN shop!

If you would like to win a free copy, just leave a comment and I will pick a two winners later tonight!

So I found this paper from Erin Bradley and fell in LOVE. I really don't have the money to do a new theme or colors, but with moving, this is the perfect opportunity!

I love the calm cool colors! It is SO me.

So should I? Shouldn't I?
Anyone have places to find Borders and Trimmers online? I think that might make my decision easier!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Happy Father's day to all you Dad's out there! A special shout out to my father. He is one of the most laid back, easy going guys around! I am so thankful and proud he is my dad!

Just a little shopping for me:)

It's been a fantastic Friday and Saturday!

I am digging listening to the 90's on Pandora as I am typing this:)

I have been spending a lot of time with friends in between packing, so I apologize for no school related blog stuff lately! I will get back into it, promise!

I actually have a set time tomorrow I plan on working on some TpT products tomorrow! Hubby's is going to play disc golf and lunch with a friend! So I have a goof 4 hours to myself:) I won't be packing, I will be working on some goodies for you all!

So yesterday I spend a LONG time at Kohls! Why??? There are NO Kohls in Hawaii and I my whole wardrobe is basically from Kohls. So I wanted to get a few things.

I had $20 in Kohls Cash and a 20% off coupon so I just HAD to go:) Here are a few things I picked up!

A few of these basic tee's in different colors. They are so comfortable. I also got a few other shirts, light weight short sleeve cardigans , a skirt, and capris.

My wardrobe here in NC has seriously needed a facelift. All the dark, wintery clothes are just not going to work in Hawaii! I'm all better now:)

Today, I went to the gym and then to Omega, a sport store, to pick up my new gym shoes! They just came from the Brooks warehouse!

Here are the brand new Ghost 6...ah, LOVE
I have all 3 colors of the Ghost 5 and they have been awesome! My feet have never felt better. I have not had a flare up of my plantar fasciitis in awhile!

Then I met a past coworker for lunch
It was nice to talk outside of school with her. She is the school's Instructional Resource teacher and has been an awesome mentor for me. She has given me such confidence over the past 3 years! I am truly grateful for her!

Then, after lunch I went over to Nordstroms! Yes, I sad Nordstrom! I went in with one purpose and that was it. I was actually put off by some of the workers there. I mean, I wear Kohls clothes and don't look like a Nordstrom's shopper, but that doesn't mean I can't buy something from there.
Anyways...
A few months back I talked about the sandals I found and fell in love with! Well, I got another pair. I only had one pair of sandals and going to Hawaii, well, I can't have that either!

I really wanted black, but this color is super fun and goes with black! I am happy:) If you have plantar fasciitis problems and a HIGH arch like I do...no joke, just look! I would recommend these shoes!
Yeah, that's my ugly foot!!!

The last thing on my purchase list and my bank account is closed until we move is my Erin Condren Lesson Planner!
I have officially made my color choice...or so I think!
I was looking at the iPad covers and found this pattern! I am in love with pink and gray right now so I am getting this for my lesson planner

Or I am still on the fence with this one. I like it too
 UGHHHH...it's SO hard:(

Well, I have to get ready to go back out! Hubby and I are going to a going away party for one of my dearest coworkers...she is leaving the school too! She is moving to Texas!

Have a great Saturday and I will be back tomorrow for some school related stuff! Promise:)

I am also SOOO close to 800 followers! I got an idea in mind for a giveaway! Hopefully I will get there soon!

I am now going to be teaching......

2nd Grade!!!

I am SO happy with my decision to accept the position. It was meant to be. The principal for the K position never called me back..oh well.

If she did, I don't think I would have taken it anyways. Kindergarten is not what I like teaching.

I have taught 2nd before, about 6 years ago and loved it.

I follow many 2nd grade blogs already and can't wait to start looking at the curriculum and making things! I just really need to focus on getting this house packed right now! HAHA...it's kinda hard!

I promise to still work on 3rd grade material because I feel like I have a good 3-4 following!

So, we arrive in Hawaii July 4th
I have two teacher trainings on July 17th and 18th
Teacher Work Days start July 30th
Kids come August 5th

I don't have much of a summer...do I?

Today, Tracey from Third Grade All Stars is showing off some super cute banners!

Hello everyone!  I’m Tracey from Third Grade All Stars and I’m super happy to be Tonya’s Friday Freebie for this week!

I LOVE hanging banners on my front chalkboard.  I like to change them for each holiday or each season.  My students love coming into the classroom when a new holiday is coming to see the new banner.  Their smiles make all the printing, laminating, and attaching worth it!

Some of my banners I have available in my TPT store.  This is my newest banner.

It is a Welcome to Our Class Banner.  I’ve added 5 adorable pencils that you can add to your banner wherever you would like to.

Make sure you go snap this goodie up at Tracey's TpT shop

Happy Friday!!!

Interview day two...and.......???

I got an offer 3 hours later:)
I can't believe it!

I just don't know what to do...so please, pretty please offer some advice!

Here are my pros and cons...

The interview yesterday went well, but not as good as today.

The principal yesterday was very matter of fact and the principal today was so easy to talk with. They both asked very different questions.

The principal yesterday did not give me any compliments, the principal today did.

The interview yesterday was for KINDERGARTEN... and today was for SECOND (I like second better)

BUT...

the interview yesterday is 13 miles away from where I will be living
the interview today is 26 miles away from where I will be living!
(if this seems stupid...traffic in Hawaii is HORRIBLE)

interview yesterday-the school has AWESOME technology...I mean 1:1 ipads and iPad touches, 2 computer labs with 30 macs in each, items to check out galore!

interview today as a good amount of technology, but not near as much. The school is very old, BUT just got approved for a $32 MILLION dollar renovation. They have started already:)

SO...HELP me. My husband says to do what I think is best. I believe in my heart I know what I should do...but just can't wrap my head around it all.

I need help!

Summer Planner-want one?

Before I begin, I have a few things to share!

1
My interview I think went well! I was a nervous wreck! There was a ton of curriculum questions, PLC, RTI, and little on what it is like to be a kindergarten teacher. So overall I think I did well. There was the standard 2 strengths and a weakness, classroom management, and how are you fit for our school! I did get stumped on the "If I called your Principal, what would they say about you?" I mean, I don't want to put words in someone elses mouth. I know they are all very sad I am leaving and know how much of a great teacher I am, but how do you answer that???

The answer to my DQ question is....

I HIGHLY recommend it. Would it be bad of me to go get another one?

If you guessed S'More, send me an email with the two things you want for FREE!

So today I am linking up with two fabulous ladies!
Elizabeth from Fun in Room 4B and Kristen from Ladybug Teacher Files

So I found these two fun planner pads at Target! They are super cute!
Elizabeth...I see this is the SAME Target find you blogged about!

But what I REALLLLLYYYY wanted was the idea of both of them together on ONE pad. Did I find it...NO:(

But did I made one...YUP!
What do you think?
Is this something YOU would use? If so, I can add it to my TpT store for FREE! Let me know what you think!

Well, I am off to get ready for another interview tomorrow! Need to do my research on that school!

Have a great day!

A little DQ and a giveaway makes a crummy day all better:)

I think George is having a bad day too...he doesn't look to happy!
First, I forget my MP3 player at home when I get to the gym. Have you every tried working out without music...it's not fun!

Then the Craigslist stuff starts!

You know, I really am starting to dislike Craigslist. Matter of fact, I am starting to hate it. It really bothers me when people say they are going to call and they don't. It bothers me MORE when they say a time, and I drive out there at that time and they don't show. Even MORE SO when they give me a time, I drive out there and then they text me saying they can't right now and have to do it another time!

Can't selling stuff be any easier???

Then in walks my husband and he yells at me to get downstairs now. I had to see something. He hands me a long white envelope and I get...

I called, and have to send in a  letter that I won't be here and can't do it. All will be ok!

So on the way home from the meeting spot I was waiting at I decided to get a little blizzard from DQ. DQ always makes my life better!

So what did I get???

If you guessed SMORE...you WIN! Send me an email with the TWO items you want:)

You must get toppings and flavor right!

I am off to work on a few things and then crawl into bed and watch some TV! I am over packing for today!
