Fabulous Find Friday with a few completed projects!

It's Friday, and that only means one thing in the blogging world...time for another Fabulous Find Friday Linky with Elizabeth from Fun in Room 4B

So just this morning I really didn't have anything fabulous to share:( But, I got on ProTeacher and went through some posts and there I found it...someone said that Target's dollar spot had PURPLE...yes PURPLE pocket charts! I have their light green ones from a few years ago and the ever popular blue ones, but purple...I needed those!

So I headed out to Target this morning and there they were...staring me right in the face!

Yup, I took 5 of those bad boys. You can never have enough of these pocket charts! I also grabbed...birthday pencils, birthday stickers, ink pads, and individual white board erasers. So...head out to Target...they are starting to stock up on back to school items:)

Yesterday I was home alone all day and took full advantage of getting some work done(hubby was at work for a 12 hour shift then went to the gym).

First thing I needed to make was another "where are we" sign. I really didn't care for the one I made and wanted something different! So this is what I came up with. I am pretty happy with this set. I have a 16x20 canvas that I could paint and put them on to hang outside of my door...or I could just tape them to the back side of my door! Not sure yet. If you want a copy, they are available in my TPT and TN stores:)

The other thing I worked on was a different take on the clip chart system. Now, I HATE...I mean HATE having something hung up in the room where all students can see who is on what color. It drives me nuts. To me, that is pointing out students and not really having positive behavior management. For the past few years, I have just had clear cut expectations, rules and consequences and have never had to use a chip chart/flipping card system. Last year though...I had to use something. I mean the behaviors we are not bad, they just were the most.talkative.group.of.students.I.have.ever.had...EVER.

So I had the color clip chart up in the front of the room but cringed every day looking at it. So I told myself if I do it again it has to be different. This is what I come up with.

I have tables and 4 students sit at each table. Each table has a 3-tier plastic shelf. I created table clip charts that will be on their table baskets.

I bought 6 of these from Michael's.

Then I painted each one white

Next, I worked on my unit. Here is the cover to the whole unit!

This is what each table clip chart will look like:)
I bought the mini clothespins to use. If you are interested in this unit, you can get it at my TPT and TN stores now!

Today I am working on finishing my Sweet Multiplication Facts.

This unit will be a multiplication mastery packet. I know this is something my kids struggled with last year so I can't wait to use it right away this year!

I'm off to read some more fabulous find Fridays! Enjoy your day:)

  1. I love how you made table size behavior charts!! I too have a problem with displaying children's behavior where all students and anyone else who comes in can see it!! I also love your behavior pack!! Way to go!!

  2. I know what you mean about the behavior issue. My school does the "flipping tickets" and we have to have a pocket chart with green, yellow, red, orange tickets. Even though I may not like it, gotta live with it! :/ We (as a school) have talked about moving towards a PBIS model, which I think we NEED, but we aren't there yet. :(

Love those pocket charts...I have a ton as well! :)
