Newbie bloggers blog hop and a delicious recipe!

While I am not new new to blogging, I still consider myself a newbie! So I am linking up with Grade Three is the Place for me in her Newbie Bloggers Blog Hop! I can't wait to get to know more new bloggers!

1. What state are you in?
I am currently in North Carolina. My hubby and I have very high hopes of moving back to Michigan(where I am from) or Hawaii( where my husband is from) in the next year or two! It all depends on where he can get a job!

2. Your Current Teaching Position:

I currently teach 3rd grade and love it! It really is the grade for me!

3. Your Teaching Experience

This will be my 4th year in 3rd. I previously have taught kindergarten for one semester, a year of first,  and a year of second.

4. When You Started Blogging

I only started blogging this past April over spring break. I have always been big with online networking through ProTeacher and sharing my ideas. I always wanted to blog but never had the guts to do it! I am SO glad I did! I really look forward to reading blogs each day. I get so many great ideas from great teachers out there!

5. Share a blogging tip/blogging resource
To not do it all at once. Blogging can be a bit overwhelming. Just try one thing at a time. Don’t be scared to ask other bloggers a question! That is exactly how I started blogging. I asked some questions even though I felt like I was bothering that person. It really is nice to help other new bloggers out there!

This going to the coffee shop to get on the internet is a lot of work! It's a good thing Starbucks is a MILE up the road! AND, I have a Starbucks boyfriend:) hehe! His name is Danny and he always gives me free drinks! It's a good thing my hubby knows about him...haha! He even said I should bake him something and bring it to him! So, well, I did! I made these last night and brought them to him today! He just told me they are delicious and I am his favorite!
These are seriously EVIL...they are sooo good! Click the picture of you want the recipe!

I hope everyone has a nice Sunday!
See you all tomorrow for Monday Made it!

  1. Yep, those look DELICIOUS!!!! I wish I had a starbucks boyfriend... I feel like that would come in soooo handy! And possibly moving to Hawaii? Wow that would be beautiful! I lived in San Diego for a few years and LOVED the beach. And the warm weather. How cool! What brought you to North Carolina in the first place?

    1. Teaching brought me to NC. I have been here for 5 years now. I did teach in VA for 2 years first. Danny is very sweet and I love that he gives me coffee for free. I will continue to bake if that means I get free coffee;)

    1. I don't use word at all! It is not user friendly for creating things. PowerPoint is the way to go:)

  8. Tonya,
I am your newest follower. I am in the midst of creating my new blog...trying to figure out the ends and outs of everything. If you hop over please be patient. :)
I have followed you for a while now on Pro Teacher. I love your ideas and have used some of them in my classroom...Brain Bubbles were my summer project last year along with the Think Bubbles ..which actually a friend liked them so much I am creating a set for her as well. I know that having twins keeps her plenty busy.
Once again I look forward to your posts.
Thank you for being inspiring! :)
